Information about the product
Admission: W 6646-3
Formulation: Water-soluble concentrate (SL)
Active ingredient: 35.74 % (480 g/l) glyphosate [as 43.78 % (588 g/l) glyphosate-potassium]. HRAC resistance group: G
Application
Roundup PowerFlex 480 is a non-selective systemic herbicide consisting of the active ingredient glyphosate from the chemical family of aminophosphonates (glycine). Glyphosate is formulated in the innovative form of a potassium salt. Thanks to this innovative formulation, Roundup PowerFlex 480 contains more wetting agent than comparable products, which increases the safety of efficacy and improves the environmental profile. Glyphosate is only absorbed by the green organs of the plants and then transported via the sap into the entire plant, where it acts on the formation of chloroplasts in the plant cells. It therefore also reaches the underground organs of the plants and also destroys the roots or rhizomes of many perennial weeds. Glyphosate penetrates the plant within one hour. The effect is enhanced by high temperature and humidity as well as intense sunlight. Only treat plants that are actively growing. The first symptoms of effectiveness are visible after a few days. Glyphosate is rapidly degraded in the soil and has no residual effect, so no crop rotation restrictions are necessary.
Arable farming
Fallow land: control on stubble fields
- 1.5-2.25 l/ha against annual weeds.
Necessary waiting period until tillage or until the next sowing: 6 hours.
- 2.25-3.0 l/ha against creeping couch grass.
- 3.0-7.5 l/ha against perennial weeds.
Necessary waiting time until tillage or subsequent sowing: 4 days.
Note
After harvesting, do not work the stubble and treat as soon as the couch grass has reached a height of 15-20 cm.
Maize: strip-till sowing (resource efficiency contributions)
- 3.0 l/ha against annual and perennial weeds and creeping couch grass.
After cutting the meadow or winter catch crop, treat the entire area to a height of 10-15 cm (approx. 10-20 days after cutting). A further treatment is then required, preferably with Adengo or Equip Power.
Maize: Sowing after shallow cultivation
- 2.0-2.25 l/ha against annual weeds.
- 2.25-3.0 l/ha against creeping couch grass.
- 4.0-7.5 l/ha against perennial weeds.
Meadows and pastures: Single plant treatment.
– 1,0-1,5 % (1.0-1.5 dl in 10 l water) against blotches and veratras.
Treat with a back syringe.
– 7,5 % (7.5 dl in 10 liters of water) to combat bruises and goose bumps.
Treat with a Rodoss, Sobidoss or Dosispot hand-held device.
Notes
In the case of well-developed awns, treat at the latest before the inflorescence forms. Avoid dripping the product onto the grass. Waiting period: Pasture or fodder (green fodder or conserved fodder) at the earliest 3 weeks after treatment. Exception: For animals that do not produce milk, a waiting period of 2 weeks applies.
Meadows and pastures: no-till renewal or treatment before plowing
- 4.0-4.5 l/ha against sward, incl. perennial weeds. Carry out meadow renewal in accordance with ADCF recommendations.
Necessary waiting time until tillage or until the next sowing: 4 days.
General remark
No precipitation for at least 1 hour after treatment.
Fruit growing
Pome and stone fruit
- 2.0-2.25 l/ha against annual weeds.
–2.25-3.0 l/ha against creeping couch grass.
–4.0-7.5 l/ha against perennial weeds.
Treat by the end of August at the latest, one year after planting at the earliest. Green parts of the crop should not be treated, not even by drift. Use a protective cap. Before treatment, remove all canes or roots (vines) and pull up or cut off all hanging shoots. If not treated properly, the product can cause permanent damage to the crop. Careful and diligent application is an absolute must. Do not allow rain for at least 1 hour after treatment. Winding: Treat at the start of flowering.
If a partially herbicidal effect (directed weed control in IP) is desired, a reduced dosage of 3.0-4.0 l/ha (0.75-1.0 %) ensures sufficient effect against most perennial weeds.
In viticulture
Vineyards in yield (cellar and table grapes)
– 2.0-2.25 l/ha against annual weeds.
–2.25-3.0 l/ha against creeping couch grass.
–4.0-7.5 l/ha against perennial weeds.
Treat by the end of August at the latest.
Green parts of the crop as well as vines managed with low pruning (cups, low cords, etc.) should not be treated, not even by drift. Use a protective cap. In addition, all exposed branches or shoots should be removed before treatment. If not treated properly, the product can cause permanent damage to the crop. Careful and diligent application is an absolute must.
It must not rain for at least 1 hour after treatment. Winding: Treat at the beginning of flowering.
If a partial herbicidal effect (directed weed control in IP) is desired, a reduced dosage of 2.25-3.0 l/ha (0.75-1.0 %) guarantees a sufficient effect against most perennial weeds.
